With a prominent position on the western side of Gulmarg, this hotel is a short ski/board to (and a short walk back) from the gondola. A grand wooden facade on the outside; makes way for a traditional Kashmiri decor indoors. Numerous curiosities adorn the walls and corridors of the hotel. This is very much a Kashmiri experience, don’t expect lots of western comforts.

Khaleel has a great lobby to relax in (which tends to be the hub for the western tourists so if you like to meet others, hang out and have a beer or two, play cards, share stories etc. this could be a good choice for you), a large dining area with an extensive menu and great sized rooms. The staff are consummate professionals but down to earth enough to crack a smile and have a laugh.
